There is a lot of talk and teaching going on all the time about repenting of sins and obeying God. To live life the way He wants you to. Follow Him. Serve Him. Give your life to Him.
The reality is that you don’t have to if you don’t want to. Everybody makes their own choices. Everybody is free to live life the way they want to. You don’t have to obey God. You don’t have to live life the way He says to. You don’t have to turn away from sin. You don’t have to be committed to God. You don’t have to go to church. You don’t even have to believe in the Bible. You’re an adult. You get to make your own choice. You’re a man or you’re a woman. Choose for yourself. It doesn’t matter how many sermons you hear or classes you go to. It doesn’t matter how many friends talk to you about obeying God. It doesn’t matter how your family tries to encourage you to obey God. The simple fact remains. You don’t have to obey God…
You don’t have to obey God, but….. you don’t have to go to Heaven either. You can choose not to obey God. But in doing so you’re choosing not to go to Heaven. If you don’t want to go to Heaven then that’s on you. It’s your choice. God isn’t going to force you to obey. He offers you eternal life but if you don’t want it then you’re opting for eternal suffering in Hell. You can live the rest of your life here on earth doing whatever you want, whenever you want. Live it up! Feel good! Have fun! You don’t have to live a godly life. But after you die and face God on Judgement Day, don’t blame Him for not letting you into Heaven. After all, it was your choice. You don’t have to obey God, but you don’t have to go to Heaven either.
If you do want to go to Heaven and you do want to have eternal life, then you do have to obey God. God loves you! He wants to save you. He’s trying to save you! If you believe in God and love Him then obey Him. Live for Him. Do all that is pleasing to Him so that you can be in Heaven with Him and all who choose to obey Him. The choice is yours. The choice is mine. What will it be? Let’s make it to obey God. And let’s all go to Heaven together.
