Jesus’ Parables: The Net

God wants all people to repent of their sins and live in righteousness in His kingdom. Sadly, not all do. There are those who are trying their best to live a righteous life by the grace of God. But there are those who still choose to live in sin. Which group do you and I fall in?

With that in mind, look at the parable Jesus gave in Matthew 13:47-50, “Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a net that was thrown into the sea and gathered fish of every kind. When it was full, men drew it ashore and sat down and sorted the good into containers but threw away the bad. So it will be at the end of the age. The angels will come out and separate the evil from the righteous and throw them into the fiery furnace. In that place there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.”

That is the reality of what is coming one day. A separation. Judgment. The righteous will go to Heaven and the unrighteous will go to Hell. It’s that simple. So we have to make that choice as to where we want to be. If I want to be in Heaven with God for eternity, then I am going to repent of my sins and live a godly life. If I want to go to Hell, then I will continue to live in sin.

Where do you want to be? I know where I want to be! Heaven. I’m sure you do too. Since that is the case let’s put away the sins of this world and let’s live for God every day. In righteousness. Holiness. Godliness. Truth. Spirit. Hope.

There’s a great day coming! Are you ready?
